The
Slough
Town Challenge Cup Competition is open to applications from Clubs who
play football on Saturday afternoons. The area covered by the
Competition is within 25 miles of Slough Town Hall. The Competition is sanctioned by the Berks & Bucks Football Association. Teams are grouped into two sections - Premier and Junior. Teams generally fall within Intermediate or Junior status for County F.A. Cup purposes. The two Cup Finals are held at Burnham F.C.. The Premier Final is, by tradition, played on Good Friday morning. The Finals attract good "gates" and is considered to be one of the highlights of the local football season. In recent years the Junior Final has been played on the Wednesday evening after Easter and, again, a good attendance is expected. The Competition is greatly indebted to Burnham F.C. for the use of their superb facilities. |
